do I search for an item? |
Before performing any
search on Sniplit, you must store your location.
To store your location, enter your City & State or ZIP
Code in the Location box. The Location box is located
on the top left of the web page.
After storing your location, you may search Sniplit three
different ways: |

- Enter a keyword in the search box and click "Go" |
| Browse
- Click the "Browse" tab and select a category. |
| Advanced
Search - Click the "Advanced Search" link
on the home page to display more search options. |

I select a different search radius? |
| Yes. After performing a search,
Sniplit allows you to choose a different search radius from
a drop-down box on the search results page. The new
search radius will display all relevant ads within your
specified mileage. |

are items sorted in the search results? |
| Sniplit utilizes a unique and powerful
sort technique that enables you to productively search within
your locality. First, our search engine displays all
of the relevant ads within your specified radius.
Outside of your specified radius, all remaining ads are
sorted by distance. |

do I pay for my ad? |
| You can pay your balance using any major
credit card. To pay an outstanding balance, please
do the following: |
(1) Sign
in to Sniplit.
(2) Click the "My Account"
tab.
(3) Click the "Pay Now" button.

| Clicking the "Pay Now" button
displays a secure credit card form. Enter your credit
card information and click the "Submit" button.
Your balance will be billed to your credit card. |

| How
can I protect myself when making transactions? |
| Ask Questions. Before making
an offer to a seller, ask questions about the product or
service. Make sure you evaluate your prospective purchase
and its price. Many times, if a price looks to good
to be true, it probably is. Significantly lower prices
may indicate a scam. |
| Contact Your Seller. Have
the seller provide contact information, such as a phone
number or address. If you are skeptical, try calling
at a random time to make sure the seller is taking calls.
A seller that is taking calls at a registered phone number
is less likely to be a fraud. |
| Use a payment method with fraud protection.
Sniplit advises against sending payment via wire transfer.
Many fraudulent sellers only accept money by wire transfer,
Money Gram, or bank transfer because buyers cannot get their
money back and sellers cannot be tracked. If your
only option is to pay by money order, we suggest using a
postal money order. |
Many forms of payment provide protection for buyers.
Credit cards, escrow services such as Escrow.com, C.O.D.
shipping, and online payment services, offer varying degrees
of protection. |
| Track Your Shipment. Most
major shipping companies allow people to track shipments
while they are in transit. Sniplit recommends getting
a tracking number from the seller, so you can monitor your
item in transit. Make sure you are familiar with the
seller's shipper. |

you create and promote your ad: |
Title |
| Your title should capture the buyer's
attention. State the product's best features and selling
points. When a prospective buyer performs a search,
Sniplit matches up the search words and ad titles. |

Description |
| Your description can include as much
detail as you wish. Be clear and objective.
Detail your the selling points. Remember to include
pictures! |

Promotion |
| Promote your ad by personalizing and
advertising your web address. Try choosing a short
web address that is easy to remember (for example:
http://www.sniplit.com/sale). Advertise your web
address in the newspaper classifieds, flyers, email and
instant messaging . |
